The bag is made of a durable, quality canvas. The problem is the yellow thread which holds the cuts of bag together undid itself at the joints with the straps and the bottom of the bag. I requested a return due to this defect.

This is a great bag. It uses heavy weight material, metal strap clips, heavy duty zipper and good stitching. It's made to last at a reasonable price. I know because this is the second bag I've purchased. I've use the first to carry gear almost daily hunting and fishing and has outlasted any other bag I've bought. It's only downfall is it is not waterproof. I've gotten around that making mine waterproof using silicone.
