Its very durable and lightweight material, dont love the buckle straps unless im using them though, very long. Its a little smaller than i expected but it still fits a lot of stuff and the side and front pockets are big as well. Very satisfied

I acquired the tan color version for use as an “emergency” bag, and for recreational camping. It holds everything needed for both without being “spartan” about it. And there’s still the straps underneath for something rolled up. It’s extremely comfortable when using the waist strap. Will just have to move the sternum strap a few inches down. Shipping was great… went out within hours of my order. I’d love to see it in just plain Olive drab/green, and perhaps some nylon or elastic “loops” inside the front pocket for mini flashlights etc… Otherwise an EXCELLENT product !

I purchased this British Bergan style pack several weeks ago for dual purposes – camping and “emergency”. I’m quite “picky” when it comes to packs. I’m a disabled veteran so the pack has to hold everything I need, be comfortable on the move, and be of sufficient quality to hold up under easy & rough conditions. Redundancy was/is a principle in the military to those in actual field ops, so I had already planned on having a second “bag”. I was so pleased with the overall quality, design, comfort, price, etc of this one, that I bought a second. I live on a government pension so cost is a factor. And when I saw that Sirius was including free packs of water and emergency rations with purchase of the bag, I jumped on it. Both still had some years of “shelf life” left. I’d never had the survival ration “cookies” before. Each square cookie is individually wrapped. They were a little crumbly, but tasted rather good. As I described, both packs are identical, as are the contents… Main compartment: Full size woobie (GI poncho liner), full size GI poncho (60″x90″ over-runs from the original government manufacturer), medium weight 10’x10′ tarp/tent, mosquito netting for the “tent”, Hygiene kit, Fire & Water kit, a two-piece genuine Trangia mess/cooking/brew kit (one fits inside the other) along with a BCB folding stove, coffee and tea, extra Firedragon fire cubes, nylon bag with cordage and stakes, 7″ folding saw, genuine Bundeswehr (Maserin) 10″ combat/survival knife. Three MRE entrees. One side pocket holds a “surplus” Swiss military canteen (8/10th) of a quart and nesting cup, and two Chem lights. The other side holds a USGI 1 pint aviators canteen/flask. (The new stainless steel pint canteen with cup by SRO will also fit in lieu of the government issue). Two rechargeable 1,000 lumen flashlights. The front compartment holds a medical/trauma kit. And a compass.On the top cover I placed some elastic bungee cord and put a pair of gloves there. Underneath the pack are two straps for a tightly rolled air mattress or browse bed bag. Now wherever I am I’ll always have a fully packed kit… one at home, and one in the car. And I’ll add that I wasn’t compensated for this, nor do I know anyone in the company.
