Use & Operation

Our folding solar panel power bank is meant to be very easy to use and operate.

Power Bank Charging:
The battery bank can be charged via the provided micro-USB cord, or via the solar panels.

When charging via solar, the display section of the battery will illuminate with a green sun and the blue bars will flash indicating it is charging.  Please ensure all panels have good clear sun, no shadows or shade.

When charging via USB, there will be no green sun, only the blue cars will flash indicating charge.  We recommend using a low amp USB port/plug, not a higher amp speed charger.

Please note:

  • Charging via USB is the fastest way to re-charge the battery bank.
  • 4 Steady Blue lights indicate full charge – each bar represents 25% charge.
  • Your battery bank will usually arrive with a 50-75% charge.

Power Bank Output:
To use the power in the battery bank is very easy, simply plugin your USB device and press the power button on the side one time.  The screen should show a number of blue bars indicating its charge level and your device should begin charging.

LED Light Use:
To activate the LED Light on the back of the power bank, simply press and hold the power button until the light comes on.  The LED includes 3 modes:

Steady On (this is the state after one long press)
Slow Flash (press the button once when light is on)
Fast Flash (press the button twice when light is on)

To turn the light off, you must cycle through each mode, so press the button 3 times when the light is steady on.

Bank Removal From Case:
The battery bank can be removed from the solar panels if desired – it simply snaps in and out around each corner.  We recommend removing one of the top corners first.

10 reviews for Folding 4 Panel 10,000 MAH Portable Solar Power Bank

  1. Brandy M

I gave this to my Dad for his birthday. He liked that it can charge his phone several times before needing to be charged by the sun or AC. He really likes the fact that it can be charging while he is kayaking or hiking. The small size and foldable solar panels make it easy to pack without adding a lot of weight. Perfect for a survival bag.

Well made. Simple design. Folds and stores small. Charges quickly in direct sunlight. Good Storage capacity. Have purchased 5 of them for all family members to have for emergencies. (Ordered 4, but when I put in order they gave one for free as bonus). Would purchase again.

Purchased two of these devices for my wife and myself to charge cell phones, Apple watch, I-pad and Kindles when we are sailing and not hooked to shore power and don’t want to run diesel to generate electricity. They are easy to place somewhere in the sun and our electronic devices charge quickly without serious depletion of stored battery power.

I recieved this solar power bank for christmas in 2019. I have been very happy with its performance. The panels seem very efficient, especially when compared to the several single panel power banks i’ve ownedover the years. Over all a good product for a reasonable price in my book, would purchase again.

Love Love Love the portable power bank. I feel a bit more prepared if grid would go down.

Well made, simple design, works great. I received this yesterday when it was raining out and today I put it in the sun for a few hours and it full charged my phone and still has a power left. I hung mine up and it just soak up the energy from the sun, I believe hang it up rather then laying it on the ground it charges fast hanging up. Love the product and now i know i will alway have enough power for the essentials when the power goes out. Love this store so glad I found it, it in times like this we need this store and now it that time.

  7. Keith R.

Love this thing, charges fast. Great for long bike rides to charge speakers, lights , phone

  8. Frank Douglas Stott (verified owner)

I studied solar-charged battery packs and determined that multiple panels were necessary to charge the battery in one day, and I was correct. The ability to charge by Micro USB is essential, since we are living off the grid. (Fuel for generator was out of control).

We use the LED lights on these units for illumination when the sun goes down. I left the light on all night long and the battery still showed a full 4 bars in the morning. Nice!

I get one phone fully charged from one of these solar-charged batteries.

Fully satisfied … impressed … Will buy more as my needs increase.

I received my folding four panel solar power bank yesterday. From the time I ordered it to my house was just under a week. It is well built. The solar panels are very solid and not thin floppy panels. I like the hard case it comes in as well. It folds and snaps closed for convenience wen packing. It is even small enough to fit in my pocket. It charged my iPhone fairly quickly and still had 1/2 of its charge left. I would definitely recommend this power bank for anyone that needs charge their small electronics charged during outdoor activities. I am using it to keep my diabetes sensor reader and phone charged during my camping/fishing trips. Definitely worth the money!!

The only thing I was disappointed in was the fact that it came with a cord but no wall outlet plug.

  10. Phillippe (verified owner)

Came empty. Does not hold 10,000mAh. Won’t charge my phone all the way. Not even sure if the solar panels really work, because they don’t charge the battery, even in Maui sun.
