I’ve had this lighter for about 2 months now. It appears to be pretty good. A single charge lasts about as long as my Zippo refillable lighter does before I need to add more lighter fluid. It is definitely the only lighter I’ve had so far that is actually wind proof. Though if it is exceptionally windy you will still have trouble lighting things because the wind can still put out the object just lit, even if the lighter doesn’t go out.
I have held it under a faucet and placed it in a bowl of water with the lighter closed and the inside was dry both times. However, the description says it is buoyant, but it definitely is not, as it sank straight to the bottom of the bowl of water. Also, I would not recommend using the lighter in rain, as pictured on the website, because the charge port has no cover when the lighter is in use and water entering the port could cause damage.
It charges pretty quickly, and the little blue indicator light will turn off when it is full which is useful. However, there is nothing that indicates its level of charge during use. The blue light turns on whenever you use the lighter, but it never changes color to indicate that it should be charged soon. It actually stays on a little bit longer than the lighter will “ignite”, which at first had me worried it was broken because there were no electric arcs, but the indicator light was still lighting.
If the lighter actually floated and the little blue light changed color to indicate level of charge it would get five stars.

The lighter works great. I purchased one of these (and the longer one) for ourselves and one for each of our adult children. My husband had to charge it and play with it while sitting and watching TV. I heard a “Whoa! That’s got some bite.” I asked him if he touched the arc. He told me he put his tongue on it. (Like we all used to do with 9V batteries as children.) Needless to say, I had a great laugh at the expense of a 59 year old man.
The children will get them as a little Christmas gift. I cannot wait for them to open them, so I can give them the warning of not putting their tongue on it! It’s going to be a laugh out loud Christmas because of your lighter.

While we will never need (I hope) the waterproof feature it is a great relief to no longer have to worry about a lighter running out of fuel or no longer having a spark. Used to buy disposable lighters by the five pack just so I wouldn’t have to make an “emergency” trip to the dollar store. Those days are over. Now one lighter is all we need for her to use while this wonderful device is charging. BIG FEATURE: the built in flashlight is worth the price by itself to have a flashlight that will fit in your pocket and not weigh you down.

I ordered two of the sirius arc 4 blue plasma lighters. We took them camping and they worked great. First time I ever started a campfire without any matches. My wife loves the lighters came in dark blue. We love our arc 4 lighters.
